About The Project
The DigiCraft Plus project introduces modern technologies and tools that help revitalize the local economy in rural areas by teaching their residents new, competitive skills while preserving the essence of traditional craftsmanship.
How We Turn Traditional Crafts into Digital Success
Key Activities & Project Phases
The DigiCraft Plus project bridges traditional craftsmanship and modern digital innovation through training, pilot manufacturing, and impact evaluation.
Our three-phase approach combines hybrid digital training, practical 3D/laser craft production, and European-wide knowledge sharing to empower rural communities.
Training in Digitalization, Crafts & Entrepreneurship
The core educational phase empowers participants through a hybrid training course. It covers foundational digital skills, hands-on digital fabrication (3D printing and laser cutting), e-commerce and marketing to launch online craft businesses, and key EU values such as green skills and active citizenship.
Practical Application, Craft Samples & Pilot Experiences
The most hands-on phase of DigiCraft Plus, where participants turn learned skills into real, physical craft products. Activities include researching traditional local crafts, adapting them into digital 3D models, manufacturing physical samples, and engaging in cross-border exchanges to refine prototypes and build a repository of good practices.
Monitoring, Impact Evaluation & Dissemination
To ensure long-term sustainability and measure social impact, this final phase tracks participant progress—focusing on social inclusion and overcoming geographical barriers. Key achievements and handcrafted creations are showcased and broadly shared through social media, the project website, and an international stakeholder platform.
